Anitoku is locked in til the end with one last Art Contest for 2025!

Join Our Final Free Online Art Contest of the Year

Artists from all over the world have been participating in our monthly art contests, making Anitoku one of the fastest-growing artist community platforms dedicated to original art and creativity.

This final contest of the year brings a unique theme, real prizes, and a supportive voting community. Truly, it’s a great honor to have all of you demonstrate your artistic powers and display them on our platform.

We’re genuinely grateful and we hope all of you reading will participate in next month’s themed art contest and more in the near future.

We will be taking a break this month to recalibrate and make sure everything is set to run smoothly for next month but be sure to check out the results of last month’s Halloween Art Contest.

Last Month’s Winners – Recap of Our Art Contest Results

If you’re up to date, you all know that we hosted two themed art contests last month: Spiritual Realm and Mythical Creature. Although, we didn’t get any entries for Spiritual Realm, we did get 10 awesome artists who decided to participate for Mythical Creature.

As Mythical creature was the second art contest for October, there were only 1st and 2nd place winners instead of the normal three.

Shout out and big ups to L_Rina and Ss4r0 for coming in 1st & 2nd place respectively and participating!

Make sure to show them some love and check out their art and profiles!

And as mentioned before, this contest was a secondary contest for October so there was not a 3rd place winner for this contest. However, we did want to give an honorable mention to the two artists who got the 3rd highest votes.

Make sure to show some love to Tr6ylin and Nooorbe as well!

December Art Contest Theme: Aura Farmer — A Unique Art Challenge

Aura, Nen, Spiritual Pressure. Described as the influential force of one’s mental and emotional atmosphere. Invisible and intangible yet unmistakably real, aura is one of the coolest observable phenomena of our otherwise mundane reality.

The terms “aura” and “aura farming” got really poppin sometime last year, so we’re a bit late on the wave. So, we thought it only right to end the year off with such a fire theme. One where the artists can show off their cool, calm and confident aura farming characters.

Even if you don’t have a story or original characters yet, this will give artists a chance to create a character who has the chill confidence of an aura farmer like the goats Piccolo or Ichigo.

the goat ichigo aura farming as usual

To be clear, you don’t have to create a new character either or any characters at all. It’s totally up to you how you interpret the theme. Thinking outside the box when interpreting the Art Contest’s theme will always be encouraged.

Additionally, fanart art will also be accepted as long as it isn’t copied, traced or AI generated.

We had two AI generated submissions last art contest. Obviously, it will not be accepted for any of our contests. Please don’t forget.

Tips for Winning – How to Win Art Contests in 2025

There are two main things that can help any artist have a better chance at winning in our art contests: follow the rules and master your craft.

By following the rules is self-explanatory, however, we’ll explain the latter a bit more.

When we say “master your craft” that doesn’t mean you have to be a master already. That just means that you are constantly sharpening your blade and honing your skills.

Are you drawing daily and completing your drawing exercises? Consistency and discipline will take you farther than most in any competition.

So, make sure to draw every day and master your craft.

Why Anitoku Hosts Art Contests – Building a True Artist Community Platform

Social media is super saturated with content creators. This is not a bad thing; everyone deserves to have their content seen and their work seen.

However, it can become very difficult to be seen for the average artist as what we create takes more time than doing a trendy dance or a GRWM.

This has become even more prevalent with the rise of AI generated content. Even Pinterest and Instagram are super saturated with AI art now, so we knew platforms and spaces where original hand drawn art is championed would have to be cultivated.

New Year Goals and Ideas – Strengthening Our Monthly Art Contest Community

As Anitoku grows, we aim to increase prize amounts, add more contest categories, and create more opportunities for artists to earn money through their craft.

Our goal is long-term sustainability, expanded contests, and even future animation competitions with bigger rewards.

More Consistent Contests: Due to real life, we weren’t able to host a contest every month this year. However going forward, we would like Anitoku as a whole to become self-sufficient and stable enough to host one every month. It’s not an easy goal but it’s one we strive for and we’ll improve every month!

Increasing the Cash Prizes: As Anitoku grows and becomes more self-sufficient we’ll be able to generate more income to pay artists higher cash prizes and more winning slots, meaning more than 3 winners will get paid! We’re striving to increase that amount to 10 cash prize winners by the end of next year!

Challenges Where Artists Can Earn Small Rewards: We were going to do this last month, but we decided to postpone this feature so that we can organize and implement it for the site as efficiently as possible.

Animation Contests: Originally, Anitoku was meant to be an animation centered site, however we saw a need for supporting artists of multiple mediums and adjusted as such. The idea of hosting animation contests is an amazing one in our eyes and one we’ll definitely implement if we can get enough participants.

The cash prizes would definitely also be a lot more than the normal $100 that we offer for our art contests. $500 for 1st place winners of our animation contests might be the move.

Create more merch and art products: Selling our products was also another core reason we created Anitoku. We don’t focus on it so much right now because we only have one single product: my zine artbook DIZZY! Sketch Collections and we’re mainly focused on hosting the art contests and optimizing the site.

However, once we have efficiently balanced our time and resources, we will shift to focus on the creation of more art merch! Sales of our merch and products will also help in making Anitoku for self-sufficient and our potential for increasing the cash prizes!
